I think it can be done, just take it slow and have loads of patience..

It can happen. Is there a way for you to meet the bird? You might get a better idea from seeing and handling him. Some birds can't wait to be handled others never quite get used to it. I think that it has a lot to do with how the bird was treated when it was handled. Just my opinion.

It can be done. I suggest wing clipping at first. I have a splendid hen that I never handle but she was hand fed and although she runs from my hand she will come up and "kiss" me thru the bars. Patience and clipping. Why my recued grey is being handled now - I took two years but it worked. All my budgies as a child were tamed and they were bought wild child from Kmart and such - heck, no one ever told me it wasnt possible so I didnt know,lol. They went all over the place with me on my shoulders,lol.
