Question Possibly having a change of heart...

Hello everybody.

I think I'm quite possibly having a change of heart. I don't know what is wrong with me... I think I've really fallen in love with these little girls. I cannot seem to stop thinking about them. I know I am a good birdie home, and believe that Moo-shoo (the breeder has continued to call her Moo-shoo) deserves to have a wonderful home. I was begining to think that maybe it wasn't "meant to be" that I get my rock pebbler, however, now I'm begining to think maybe it wasn't "meant to be" that I get a male rock pebbler.

I think I'm going to take her!

Do y'all think I'm crazy, or what?

I do not think that it is crazy. You have to do what you think is best. If you will always wonder if getting a male was a better choice then maybe you should wait. You have to do what you feel is best for you.

I know that you will make the best choice for you and the birdie. But, if you are having thoughts of this precious baby girl(birdie) then I say it is meant to be. If you decide to get her I know she will have the best home possible. You are a great parront and that may be what she needs. Please keep us posted as what you decide.

I do not think I will "always wonder" about getting a male... I know I already love her, really I do. I open my email with such anticipation every day (even since I've known they're all little girls, lol) in the hopes Eva will continue to send me pics. I call to hear her voice and talk to her, so she can hear mine. Not only that, but I have such a genuine longing for her, I'd be worried sick that someone else may not care for her the way I know I would. I think it is more likely that ten years from now I would be more concerned with what ever happened to that precious little girl bird I didn't take & where she was and how she was being treated, moreso than whether my wonderful companion perched next to me was male, female, yellow or green.

So, yes... Moo-shoo will be my new baby... she'll just be a tad greenier than planned!

Oh, thank goodness the name I fell in love with was unisex! PHEW!

Well, I haven't gotten the official word from Eva just yet, but I believe we are looking @ an arrival date within the next two weeks! My goodness... I have so much to do... so many toys to buy! And I haven't even gotten her a cage yet! Fuji's new cage is due to be delivered tomorrow morning if I like it I'm going to plop Helio in it for a sec (to check it out for size with a "super tail") and if it looks like a good fit I will get her one just like it.
Eva is so funny... she's been calling her Moo-shoo right along. A gentleman from Utah came by (Eva is in CA, however the man was on a business trip) and was looking at birds... he kept handling Moo-shoo & Eva kept trying to "move him along" to another species... telling him that she was "sorta taken"... knowing I was having 2nd thoughts, since I would always ask to talk to her when Eva and I spoke. She kept trying to get him to look @ the Superb babies, however he kept coming back to my Moo-shoo.

I think it's kind of like a mom who has known her whole life she's wanted a son, then once she has her daughter in her arms, she doesn't ever remember having wanted anything else.

Eva is a wonderful person... truly. Warm, loving, caring & sweet. I would recommend her to anyone. She has been oh-so patient and accomidating through all of my inability to make a decision... the woman is surely a canidate for sainthood.
She offers such a variety of birds, as well. If anyone ever wants to look her up, just let me know & I'll pass along her contact info to you.

Thanks everyone for following along with me down my wishy-washy path to a rock pebbler!
