I saw my male scarlet chested (splendid) holding a piece of hay in his foot whilst he chewed it.

that's pretty cool! clever little guy. I should put some hay down on the Kakariki cage they would love to make a mess scratching that all over the place. I imagine you have to change it everyday? Do you get that soft alfalfa timothy hay that's for Rabbit's eating pleasure?
