a Sengal Parrot

hey all. i was recently at the local PetCo. they had this beautiful Sengal Parrot named Sugar there for sale for like 600$ ?! i have 2 Q's ...

is 600$ the avg price for a Sengal Parrot ? & how would they get along with my Rosella's ?

That sounds about right for a petstore. You may be able to get cheaper from a breeder (if there's a local one, but shipping could be a lot...).

I don't know how well a senny would do with rosellas, or how well rosellas would do with other species... regardless, if you were to buy the senny, then you should plan on quarantine which would require a separate cage anyway.

Generally speaking though, senegals are more "hands on" type of parrots than rosellas are.

thanks for the reply, yeah, i figured that i would need to have them seperate for awhile .. its cool. my wife said we can't afford her now anyways ... bummed out a bit . but i agree .. again thanks..
