hi

can anyone help i would love to have a pair of splendid parakeets.
also i am building an indoor aviary can i have some suggestions on what i should put in, this is my first time having parakeets i have bought two rosy bourkes which are in the parrot cage awaiting for the aviary to be put up.
any advice on what veg i can feed them also would be great.

Singing Wings Aviary sells splendids. I feed mine a fresh keet seed mix with dried fruit in it and they really like Brocolli slaw mix I get in the produce department in a bag by the bag salads? romain lettuce, chopped fresh fruit like peaches and strawberries, melon, they loved the Beak Apatite mixes cooked, Quiko Egg Food wet or dry, fresh sweet corn on the cob, all kinds of dark greens like carrot tops, celery tops, endive, chard, parsely is a big hit, kale and dandilion leaves. Remember grass keets all love to forage around on the ground so I feed everything in flat dishes or scattered on the Aviary floor and they will eat just about anything I put down for them.
