Yellow turqs

Hi every one im not new here just havent posted in a while. I receantley bought a pair yellow turqs a red bellie male and yellow female. the male is a proven breeder but the female is just under a year old i just wanted to know when was there breeding age.

If you're in Australia I think it's best to wait until next years breeding season, about this time of year. Give her a chance to get a bit more maturity.

That would be right, screw me up on my seasons. Now i have to actually think.

Give her until she's about 18 months old. If I've got my northern hemisphere stuff right that should fit into spring breeding season for you. Make sure that the pair are right up on nutrition and you're giving plenty of calcium rich foods. Turqs quite often have infertile eggs first time round while they're trying to get it right so if this happens don't get too diappointed. There's always the year after.
