I have seen the picture of the Hy and the girl before. Posted on Birdboard, actually, as an ad in the Rescue/Rehoming section, a few months ago. Also, if you look real close to her hand holding the Hyacinth... CLEARLY something not right there... her hand is waayy too long... looks like photo-editing to me...

What I don't understand is why these stupid scammers are still working this trick... EVERYONE (that I know) knows about the "Cameroon or Cameroon-type" scams out there... are people still falling for them??? How sad....

That is too funny, thanks for waiting (and posting) the response. The alien creepy hand is NOT OK. Somebody save that poor Hy from Salad Fingers!

Hard to believe someone actually thinks people on a bird forum would fall for that and not have seen it a million times! No such thing as a free hy....not even from the good "sister"!!

Do you know the face that goes with that arm? ROTFLMAO

I do not know what is funnier that Sister Rev. Vanessa as a Zoo Keeper (with the alien... take me to your leader in Cameroon hand) or your randomly placed smileys throughout the email response.

All of it is quite funny... thanks for the laugh(s).

I have seen sites that mess with the scammers. One site had the guy corresponding with the scammer, he asked for a photo with a girl holding a sign with a particular word on it. Then he said that wasn't good enough, he eventually built it up to the point that the scammer sent him a photo (as requested) where he (the scammer) was standing on one foot, eating a watermelon, and balancing a shoe on his head lolol. I have never laughed so hard. I wish I could remember the site, a former co-worker had sent me the link. Another one had the guy going back and forth to the nearest western union, which was like 60 miles away, at least 15 times, I don't remember how they got the scammer to do it, but he got really mad that he was scammed into going there so many times, and wasting money travelling etc.
