I actually got to see it when it first aired but tell me why did they call the segment Stupid Animal Tricks? I didn't like that too much.

Letterman has always called that segment Stupid Animal Tricks; viewers just expect unusual and/or amusing bird/animal behavior. It wouldn't be very popular if it was called Amusing Animal Tricks. That's just show biz.....
