I did hear from a pretty reliable source that the MO bill was dead and not expected to reappear in the near future, I do hope that is correct. If I hear different I will sure post........

Makes you wonder about these politicians.. Don't they have more important things to worry about them the type of pets I have?

What is worse is that we keep voting these people in. I'm really starting to believe that many Americans want the Government to control every aspect of their life so they keep voting back in. I for one don't want the government to tell me what kind of pets I can keep, let alone anything else.

Really? If my neighbor wants to keep a Puma or Alligator in a fenced area behind their home I'd want a law passed forbidding it.In the case of this bill they have gone too far but the idea that any type of animal is an appropriate pet, particularly when many who own these novelty pets don't provide safe enough enclosures for them infringes on my right to live a peaceful safe existance. Not all pet owners are responsable. Some need common sense imposed upon them.

I get these sort of notices thru the AFA- American Federation of Aviculture- yahoo group. I'd recommended joining, they are really on top of these sorts of issues.
