Yah but crap - I dont need tha dang thing. Cally steps right up but his nails are killer. Hubby is nervous about restraining him so I talked to Steve up at Hartmans and he wants $35 just for beak and nails!!!!! I have to do his wings so he can go outside but I'm going to do a "show" clip. I hate to he is so pretty but I JUST cannot take him outside without it. There is NoWay on Gods green earth he will allow a harness to be put on. I cannot touch him. I told Hubby he was just going to have to muster up courage and do it. I'll have to slap some duct tape on his mouth though, lol!! (Hubby's mouth) because he swears at me when he has to do it.

It's a shame that sometimes the only way to get what you've paid for is to be angry and make 'threats'... but it works. It's a shame she's been ill, but her customers still want their purchases... that's where she maybe needs to think about hiring staff?

I've had to send similar letters and make similar phonecalls in the past.

Well, I would have thought she could have had someone send out a notice?? I know she has a husband and kids cause they answered the phone once. I mean if I had a buisness and I was that sick my hubby would have gone out of his way to call or email everyone who needed to be contacted. THATS what marriage and family is all about.

Careful with a show clip.... the big macs tend to hit them and catch them on things when the outer feathers are not supported by the inner feathers. Just a thought. Littler birds tend to do better with this... or less active macs.

He is definantly less active, poor guy. That brings another question. Whenever he gets put back into the cage he does this Stevie Wonder thing for awhile. Sometimes when he is out but not very long and rarely. Is this a "stress dance"?? Kinda reminds me of a wolf in a cage but he is looking up with the whole head sway and pace back and forth beak straight up.

I saw that same behaviour with the Shamrock macaw I rescued a while back. She had that same "stress" behaviour. I think that is from being in a cage with no stimulation for too long.

I assume by Stevie Wonder thing, you mean he sways back and forth. This is typically excited and happy body lauguage. He probably is doing this to show how much he enjoys hanging out with you, and wants more.

Peach and Pedro do this all the time. I often refer to it as dancing. They really start doing it when music they like is playing(Black Sabbath, Prince[for the birds, not me], etc.). It's amazing how precisely they can move to the beat.
