Report of a Pigeon Netting Sighting, NYC

I want to report a Pigeon Netting Sighting to the bird board. I did make a report to ASPCA Humane Law and left the vehicle info including NY license plate number on the ASPCA Humane Law line.

This morning at 11:25am I witnessed a young white male dirty blond hair in maybe early to mid 20's with a hoop net attempt to net a flock of appx 20 pigeons and sparrows at the corner of Huron St & Franklin Sts in Greenpoint Brooklyn 11222. I scared him off by telling him to leave the birds alone and then I proceeded to make a call (to the ASPCA). He jumped into passenger seat of van and they sped off. The vehicle was a dark forest green van with NY plates starting with the letters EEA-. Unfortunately after I made the report to the ASPCA Humane phone line I misplaced the napkin I had written the plate number on.

I had heard about pigeon nappings from other rescue people but had never seen it myself. it was very upsetting.
