Unhappy I am ashamed to be a human.

Makes me soo sad, and not just the birds either!

I am so ashamed to be human at times.

Me too. It makes me cry!

There was a story on CNN yesterday about the USA space monkeys, who have lived in small cages for 20 to 30 years, they are just now setting them free.

I can't believe we as humans do so much harm!

Well, wouldn't you know it I just got one more notice in my email about the joys of being human and our right to harm, why? Because we are humans....

OMG don't get me started on how much we have totally screwed over our nations wild horse population. The horses are forced off of their land and are supposed to 'make do' with living 'wild' among the many housing developments that are cropping up all over the states.. idiots then hit them with cars or complain that they are 'wrecking' their crops, and the horses get rounded up and shipped off to sit and rot on 'regulated' blm land until they are either adopted or shipped off for slaughter... pisses me off to no end. Sorry but I used to live in NV and walk among these gorgeous creatures and it sickens me to think of their fate and how humans are too self centered to think about anything other then their own. G. Bush signed off on some sort of bill a couple years ago that basically sealed the fate of the horses.. any horse with any 'defects' can be sent to slaughter.. any horse over age 7 (which is young) can be sent off to slaughter.. forcing the herds to reband, and then royally messing it up. GRRR.

OK i am off my soapbox now.

Ok edit, I just read the article that Tamaran posted. omg how stupid can we get? Kill perfectly fine and healthy horses cause there is an 'excess'? Only an idiot wouldn't realize that there is so much uninhibited land in NV that the horses could go to. I don't see why they have to kill them- there are also wild horses on the beach of NC, the corolla herd, and NC has managed to keep population numbers 'managable' by injecting certain mares to keep them infertile. Seems like a better alternative to me!
