Oh I am so glad to hear that. It sound like there is still a long way to go but I am glad to hear that they are growing in population!

Lear's macaws are beautiful and if you want to help look up Parrot's International. You can donate money to a corn subsidy that prevents local subsistence farmers from shooting them for eating their corn...the number one reason leading to their decline.
Their numbers are up but they are still in trouble. I would encourage anyone reading this to get involved, even in a small way! |
