Thankfully, many of the conures that have been effected by parasites do find good homes... it's only sad when some of them can't be treated soon enough and don't make it.

Sadisticotaku, you'll have to let us know if you find em!!! And if you do, be sure to take pics!

re san fran flock: If I remember right, there were a couple blue crowned conures that showed up. It mostly consists of cherry heads and a few mitreds. There is a movie that is very good. From what I understand they do inter breed in that particular flock.

There are wild flocks of parrots on the East Coast too. There's the flock in Brooklyn, for example, among others: BrooklynParrots.com: A Web Site About the Wild Parrots of Brooklyn

We get the wild parrots around us every day darn near. Sometimes 5 or 6, othertimes flocks of 20 - 30+. We love it! Donna & I will sit on the patio early on weekend mornings and listen & watch them. Sydney hears them and he calls out to them..we have to tell him that he can't go out and play with the wild birdies! LOL

Here's the link to some pics. I posted a couple of years ago....you'll probably have to use your mouse to see all the pic.
