Yes, I read about this and saw it in the news. Its truly amazing what life can thrive when humans arent interrupting the process. I hope that they protect this area and dont destroy it. It would be a shame to see that ecosystem be wiped out.

Let's see... the Buff Faced Pygmy Parrot weighs 12 grams, approximately.

The largest hummingbird species (Giant Hummingbird - Patagona gigas) supposedly weighs about 24 grams. The smallest hummingbird (Bee Hummingbird - Mellisuga helenae) weighs 1.6 grams.

With that information above, I would have to say the answer to your question is this. Yes. No.
