I accept:The woman trying to sell the children was babysitting them while the biological parents were going through a separation. It's bad enough to try to sell your own kids.

I hope the real parents dont even get the kids back. I heard about this on the news and from the sound of it, the real parents had no contact with the kids or the woman who sold them out for a number of months. What parents, going through a divorce or not, dont even contact the kids through phone calls once a week or so???

This is a case where both the animal and the children were considered property. We are used to seeing this attitude towards animals, but it is more shocking to us when it involves children.
The couple trying to take the kids should not have gotten either a deal legally or any sympathy. Let's remember they were willing to trade a live animal in their care to a woman who clearly had poor judgement and by her own admission could not care for them. What made her qualified or able to care for this bird, either? Seriously. |
