To tell if its good, you would need to candle it. There are special lights that allow you to look through the eggs, however the light from a candle in a dark room will also work. Eggs with veiny lines are fertile.
I know this sounds stupid, but are you certain you have both a male and a female? Sometimes folks just assume that any egg laid is fertile. You still need a male and a femal bird for that to happen. Just thought I'd bring that up for the newbies. You can find lots of candling information on the internet. Why not simply do a web search.

There are people who sell 'pairs' of birds and only in the end for the two birds to be the same sex. Two birds of the same sex can also 'do the deed' and mate, though never actually produce...
With canaries though, the male usually sings more than the female, but with some it may be harder to tell the difference so you may need to DNA them to be 100% sure. To candle them, its good to get an egg candler, though you can also use a flashlight in a dark room. Before candling them, the eggs need to be about 5 days old, or older. Unfertile eggs will be yellow and clear (except for the yolk, which would be a big orange spot) while fertile eggs will have veins, and will gradually darken (inside as the chick grows, and the shell will darken as well).

I had no idea birds of the same sex will do that..... I guess you learn something new evey day. I was going to candle the eggs but so far she has had a egg every morning for the past 3 morning's so i need to make sure i find the first egg. I did notice one of the eggs looks a little black, so i know thats not good.

For now, just leaves the eggs alone, and once she finishes laying them all (wait atleast 3-4 days) then after you are sure she's done, wait another few days, then you can candle them all at once to check.

Some birds may be able to, though many females have been known to sit on unfertile eggs for up to a month before deciding that they will not hatch, though some eggs have been known to hatch up to a week, if not longer, after their 'due date'.
