Anyone know a linnie breeder that will ship?

I am very interested in a lineolated parakeet (linnie) and would like to know if anyone can recommend a breeder. I live in New Hampshire, so I will need one that ships, unless they are located in New England. Thanks!

One can also check out http://www.grassparakeet.com/index.htm

Good luck on your search! Maybe even trying at http://www.avianbiotech.com/Breeders/Birds.asp though you may need to use full name under 'all species'.

Thanks, guys, for the links; hopefully I will have some luck with them. I have tried the birdbreeders website, but they have done listed. Apparently linnies are not too popular.

Another one that you might want to try is http://www.birdtalkmagazine.com/bt/ClassifiedAds.aspx BirdTalk MagazineŽ

There you can locate breeders by state

These breeders I know personally. They are located in Bandon Oregon. All that they sell is breeding stock though. But they do ship.

birds for sale

If you go to the "Birds for Sale" section of http://www.birdshows.com you will see hundreds of birds for sale, sorted by state. I saw lots of Linnie's listed, and most of the breeders will ship, so try every state!

I am new to this forum, just joined today - and was browsing around and saw your ad. My friend has several pairs of breeders and I know she is looking to get out of breeding all together. (She does Parrotlets and Linnies) - I'm not sure if she has any babies. I ship my birds all the time and would be happy to help her. Let me know what you are looking for and I'll check with her and her pricing as well.
You can e-mail me privately if interested.

Christine9 - Sorry that I missed your post but I thought that I might have some useful information. You might want to look into one of the linnie groups on yahoo. I belong to this one: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lineolated/.

Everyone there is super-nice and very welcoming. I still haven't decided whether (or more appropriately, when) to add linnie to my household but through this group, I found a reputable breeder w/in an hour's drive.

Best of luck and please keep us posted! I'm sure that many folks here on BirdBoard would like to know how you make out!
