Anyone know a linnie breeder that will ship?
I am very interested in a lineolated parakeet (linnie) and would like to know if anyone can recommend a breeder. I live in New Hampshire, so I will need one that ships, unless they are located in New England. Thanks!

One can also check out http://www.grassparakeet.com/index.htm
Good luck on your search! Maybe even trying at http://www.avianbiotech.com/Breeders/Birds.asp though you may need to use full name under 'all species'.

Another one that you might want to try is http://www.birdtalkmagazine.com/bt/ClassifiedAds.aspx BirdTalk MagazineŽ
There you can locate breeders by state These breeders I know personally. They are located in Bandon Oregon. All that they sell is breeding stock though. But they do ship. birds for sale
If you go to the "Birds for Sale" section of http://www.birdshows.com you will see hundreds of birds for sale, sorted by state. I saw lots of Linnie's listed, and most of the breeders will ship, so try every state!

Christine9 - Sorry that I missed your post but I thought that I might have some useful information. You might want to look into one of the linnie groups on yahoo. I belong to this one: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lineolated/.
Everyone there is super-nice and very welcoming. I still haven't decided whether (or more appropriately, when) to add linnie to my household but through this group, I found a reputable breeder w/in an hour's drive. Best of luck and please keep us posted! I'm sure that many folks here on BirdBoard would like to know how you make out! -e-
