Breeding parrots

My wife and I have been breeding different parrots for almost seven years now, We started with cockatiels and budgies. We now Have timneh Greys and amazons and several others including macaws and Kakariki. We have been active participants at many bird shows and our favorite is the Sugar Creek show in Dayton Ohio. We have varied interests and insatiable appetites for knowledge of our feathered and furred family members. We do a lot of research on every species we have and on species we'd like to have so we welcome any questions and advice. We enjoy breeding not only for new mutation colors but for temperament also.
If anyone has advice on encouraging mini macaws such as hahns and severes to breed, we'd be most interested in your input.

New on the block

Hi all!!

i'm new to the bird life. I have bought myself a pair of wild Senegals. I want to breed these so I can get a nice tame bird. Do anyone have any tips for breeding.

My aviary is 8'Lx3'Wx5'H. The birds are 4 years and 3 years (male then female).

What is a good breeders diet?

Thanks

We have several pair of senegals and redbellys. You might be looking at five to seven years. My young pairs are three and four, no babys yet. They need a secluded secure place. Not much peeking in nestbox. Mommy will sometimes distroy eggs or eat babys if she feels threatened. Mine respond tofresh corn, a few nuts, carrots, and cool weather. That is always a stimulant for breeding. Spring and fall. Always fresh veggies, we also give soft sweetpotatoes, pumpkin, mangos, and kewee. (not spelled correctly).however remember thier state of mind is important... must feel safe and secure. Hope I helped, Camille

Do you have any timnehs available now? Do you ship? Price? I'm desperately searching for a sweet baby timneh to add to our family. If you have none available now, do you know when? Do you know any breeders closer to me? I live in Maine.
