Yes you most probably will need more than one pair of P'lets. Ive heard of some pairs in a family setting laying eggs but the norm is that parrotlets like to know they are near other parrotlets as in the wild. Budgies are the same way. As a matter of fact the way it is here is they will all start to lay as soon as one pair gets the whole thing going - LOL, I think they all start talking "babies". Its a nature thing that tells all of them "its TIME!!" I have one pair that wont lay at all until they actually hear babies peeping in another box. It never fails as soon as the first one or two babies hatch she gets busy in the nest box!
