Best syringes for handfeeding?

I handfeed greencheek conures every so often and I prefer to use syringes. I can never find syringes that last more than a couple of days. Is that normal or is there better quality ones out there? I am talking about the ones that have the rubber ring inside so they dispense smoothly. I am so fed up with trying to find ones that I like. I would like to find some that are very small unlike what they pet stores carry. Also has anyone ever tried to spray cooking spray on the rubber to lubricate the movement of the syringe? Is cooking spray safe for birds to injest?

I'm not a breeder, but I'd suggest either going through your avian vet or finding an online supplier of breeder supplies, and just buying a bunch of syringes! I don't know of any that are better, but after a few days of use they get harder to use because the rubber swells up. At this point in time it's best to replace it.

O RING Syringes are theeeee best. "Red Bird products" or "L&M Leg Bands" sells them. I will provide a link for both when I get home from work or you might be able to google them. they last. Ive had the same ones for a few years and the print wears off before the oring wears out + you can get new o rings at the hardware store.

I got mine from Pippins Roost Exotics. They do not have plungers or orings, they have nothing. I have had mine for sometime now. They are called ringless syringes. They are fairly priced. I bought all the different ones, and found I like these the best. Of course same as goes for all, the ink wears off, but they still work great. They are very smooth. good luck no matter what you choose. I use cooking oil instead of spray to lubricate the syringes, but I am not sure about using the spray

I ordered some from L&M bird leg bands. They are excellent. They have a silicone ring inside. I have been reusing them and they are not giving me any problems. With these I haven't needed to use lubricant. Thank you all for your help.
