need your help!!

okay i'm trying to breed 2 double yellow headed amazons who are well bonded and are ready to breed the problem im having is that i dont have a bird room and they need to be in the heat to breed like if they were in their natural hab. well i was told to put them outside the problem with that is i live in a city with a high crime rate and would really be upset if my birds got took while they are out there so does anyone have any ideas on what to do thanks

stay at home mother my 2 year old has a skin condition that it gets worse if he gets hot and the rash spreads faster all over his body so i have to keep the house pretty cold at all times i have them up against a window with a blanket over their cage (well like 5 blankets its a huge cage) and a soleus air heater (one of the heaters that promote healing and health) and i spray the cage and them down with water at least once a day i have a temp and humidity gauge in the cage with them to make sure im not gettin them to warm but i dont know if this is the best way to keep the birds, but they have their window to look out with the sun light also then they have their privicy and they have their heat and humidity it just kinda looks getto i think but what ever works i guess but thats why im on here trying to get more ideas until i move into a new house but that will be awhile but will make sure i have a bird room!!!!!!

Why are you trying to breed if you do not know how to breed? Do you know how to hand feed?

could you use a heat lamp with a thermostat, like the kind used for reptiles??i have never bred birds so i have no idea wether or not it would help. i wouldnt keep them up against a sunny window though because the temperature would be up and down a lot, especially if its covered with a blanket.

I didnt tell you to put your birds outside, I simply told you I did that. I also told you to close off that room if possible from the AC and open a window.

why dont you just keep them happy living in your house...and if they breed then so be it, and if not they will still be a loving pair. its not like we really need anymore baby birds in the world
