Trying to Identify FL Breeder -BLG on leg band

I have a CAG and want to desperately want know her birthday.The oly thing Ihave to go on is the leg band that has BLG fL (VERTICALLY) and then the number 38.

Can anyone help?

It looks like your baby came from a commercial breeder somewhere in FL. I couldn't find the band info on the National Center of Bird Leg Bands Directory, but you can try joining a Yahoo Group called LegBandNumbers. In their Welcome letter to the group they include instructions for sending them your bird's info (species, location of purchase, band code, type of band, etc) & they'll do their best to hunt down the bird's breeder. I didn't find "BLG" on the yahoo group either.... This is the info I have on leg bands...

If your breeder is listed, you could find him here...

A YH group that helps trace bands

A couple places that produce leg bands may or may not help trace the band if it's one of theirs...

Thanks for the infomation and the time you took to check with the places that you tried.I have contacted both leg band dealers mentioned and RedBird
said that likely it was theirs but it would entail a manual search through thousands of records.
I will now try to join the groups at Yahoo .
