Abundance weaning means to offer all kinds of foods. I do not use cheerios as they are high in sugar. One or two as a treat maybe. when I Abundance weaned I used weaning pellets, millet, all kinds of fresh vegis, and a bit of fruit all tossed with egg food. I kept the weaning pellets dry and in a seperated dish always but would also toss some int he mix to soften. when weaning I put this in nearly everyday depending on what I had on hand. Corn is good and soft and appealing. just the tiny tops of broccoli scattered. Everything real small no matter how big the baby because if they can just pick up a tiny piece and playwith it in their mouth they are more likely to try it. babies seem intrigued by tiny specks to pick at so start really teeny weeny until you see they are trying it all and actually eating it. I dont put millet spray in everyday as they like it so much they might not try other stuff but it is great weaning food as it is pretty high in protien for a seed, they like the taste, and is high in carbohydrates but low in fat. It lacks some important vita mins so birds cannot live on it alone but its GREAT for weaning babies and makes good comfort food later (like mac and cheese, lol). Bread is not real good again as it has too much refined flours. A bit of 12 grain can be ok one day a week or so. Everything in moderation and rotation! Once babies start to pick at the floor or bedding is time - you will waste allot but keep a good mixed plate in front of them all the time and make sure its fresh! Chop chop chop or when they are little I use a food processor for allot of the leafy greens and carrots
