Exclamation How can I tell what color the babies will be?

I have been breeding budgies for nine years now and coloration genes still are a mystery to me. Is there any color gene testing or percentage of colors I don't know about? Is there any way I can tell what color babies I will have? For example... Can someone explan/help me?

Here's a budgie genetics calculator...
Genetic Calculator 1.3 Budgerigars

You can get a good understanding of mutations here
Budgie / Parakeet Colors and Mutations Guide

I suppose it would help to know if your male from first pair carries a dark factor.... as you put it, your hen is a double dark factor, making her an olive. If the male does not carry a DF (or any other gene that could result in darkened coloration) then offspring would not be olives (aka DF dark but SF dark)

I'm not an expert on mutations, but it would help to see pictures... and the violet gene in green series birds looks quite similar to the dark factor gene, as does the grey factor.
