fertile eggs

hello,, i need some help about buying fertile parrot eggs, is that possible.

did any one try such thing? befor..

does any one know a farm that is garanted that will deliver fertile eggs?
please inform me if u have any information regarding this issue.

cause i'm thinking of buying eggs and let my female african gery hatch them since she always lay am infertile eggs.

dont know what is wrong with the pair.

so maybe this idea could work..

First, are you sure that you have a male and a female? Second, most if not all responsible breeders will not sell fertile eggs. This is for several reasons. One transporting the eggs could be hazardous to the embryos. Secondly, the buyer would have to know how to handfeed the babies, possibly from day one as the parent birds, if there are any, many not feed the babies. Therefore, there is a safety issue involved.

hello, thank u for ur reply,, yea my pair is male and female.. but never gave me a fertile eggs. dont know why..

they had 2 clutches with 3 eggs each..

i may go and do sonar for the male again to confirm the 1st test.

but regarding the egg.. i have found few sells on line offering that they can provide me with fertile eggs.. is that true.. did any one try any of those companies.

i have had hand fed babes befor its true they were not from they one but i did manage it starting from day 5. was though but i have enjoyed it alot , i was 16 when i did it.

so any one can help with that

Most if not all fertile egg advertisements online are scams. You could possibly find a breeder in your area to work with and show you know what you're doing and get some eggs from them if they are overloaded but that seems unlikely from a responsible breeder. I've heard of a few breeders giving over babies to handfeeders but not eggs.

Other than that, make sure they have a large enough cage, privacy, great food and a nest box and that the female is getting enough calcium. There's the extent of my breeding greys knowledge.
