Question hello.. looking to import a pair

hello , thank u guys, for ur help, and since the fertile eggs are just a scam as people replied to my previous thread and the different opinions i got,so i have forgot about such unsafe step, for both of us me and the babes.

so, i though of getting a proven pair of macaws, or the gold and blue.

so please if u know a trusted breeder or farm that can ship parrots to Egypt
I'd really appreciate ur help.

Reputable breeders will not sell their proven pairs. Why would they? They're money-makers for them!

They would, however, sell a pair that's older and maybe isn't producing as well as it had in the past. In either case .... not a good way to try to spend your money. I'd recommend introducing two DNA-sexed birds and hoping they pair up.

Sorry but I do not know of any breeder who will ship to Egypt. Do you have craigslist in your part of the world? Perhaps that would be an outlet for finding some macaws.

Reputable breeders sell proven pairs for all kinds of reasons.
There is Craigslist in Egypt but finding a reputable breeder on there is next to impossible.
Here is a good place to start

here is another good link

I'm happy to read you have had experiences that say breeders will sell GOOD productive, proven pairs. I haven't had such good experiences. I don't breed my birds anymore but, if I did, I'd put my own pairs together.

No reliable breeder here in the U.S. will go through all the red tape (paper work) to export a pair out of the U.S. It takes an arm and a leg to do it and takes several months to complete.

Like the others have said, locate someone within your own country, you'd have better luck.

I think we're talking about selling proven pairs, not babies. So I'll take back to my original statement where I said reputable breeders will not usually sell their proven pairs. At that time, I believe they'd sell their good proven pairs to other reputable breeders and not to strangers or people just getting started in the hobby.

In my experience, if a breeder offers a proven pair for sale to strangers or "newbies", the pair is either older and production has decreased to the point where they're no longer "money makers" or they're problematic pairs (i.e., they destroy their eggs or don't sit.) I've also heard stories many many times where two females or two males are sold as proven pairs. I've heard other stories where two birds are thrown together at the last minute and passed off as a proven pair.

I hate to write in such black and white terms because we're talking about living and loving creatures, but we are talking about a business venture and not the adoption or purchase of future loving family members.
