Help Attacking Aviary Quaker

Hi,Bought a pair of 5 yr old quakers 7 weeks ago and theyve been great in their 6 metre aviary, devouring all the fresh fruit, veg, sprouts I supply.Today the male(who was originally a pet 3 yrs ago) attacked and bit me quite a few times, wouldnt let me clean the aviary!I have another aviary bred pair who have never done this,so how should I handle this? Its not breeding season here till september.Appreciate the help

Perhaps now that he feels secure in his enviroment he wants to be protective. And not breeding season ... it just might be sooner than you thought!

Just caught this one Renata.

With my guys the main aggression time was when they had eggs. To do anything in the aviary without coming out bleeding I'd be wearing a cap pulled down over my ears, sun glasses, gloves, collar shirt with the collar pulled up and closed in shoes. Little sods would get hold of any bit of skin they could. Once the eggs were all hatched they'd be back to their sweet loving selves letting me handle the babes, giving me kisses etc.

Won't be breeding time again here until around October /November with the quakers. They go down a bit later then some of the others. Sounds like he's just gotten super territorial. You can either try swapping aviaries to put him off his guard a bit or just do the wearing armour thing.

Those little beaks hurt.
