Question Love bird lover

Hello, I live in Hillsdale, Mich. we do come to Detroit at times.
I am intrested in 2 female love birds breeding age. I thought I had a pair
however seems as though I might have 2 males. They get along great.
The one I thought was a female does all the things they do. paper shredder, she
shredds anything she gets a hold of. puts it under wing into box. inside chews it very small. she is the boss. But I just sent feathers to a add in a Bird book and he says she is a he. However isent her feathers once before and he said it was a she. Figure that on out. What do you charge for a female, and or a sure pair? I know one is a male. He had a mate that they had several clutches. But she died. So the breeder picked one out he thought felt like a female. you know the rest. I can leave them alone they are fun to have. They come to you when I let them out each day.

Is it true a female will lay eggs even without a male. Like chickens?
Sorry If I sound fruity, Just a beginner.
Thanks Helen

A female may or may not ever lay eggs. A male is not nessary for a female to lay an egg, just for it to be fertal.
