When and Where?

We first need to figure out where most members would be willing to travel to, and when they would be able to do it.

I can travel anywhere in the southern US, preferably after college classes let out (May 12)

If you have any suggestions on how to best organize this, please PM me.

I need two or three members that can commit a little time and are willing and able to attend this event no matter where it is held.

First Annual Bird Board Member Rendezvous

We need:

1. Location choice
2. Hotel Procurement
3. Attractions/Activities
4. Time frame
   

And anything else that comes up.

You've already got my vote....Anywhere in the south is good for me...preferably after school is out but not a necessity.....

I can do a gathering if it is in the Eastern part of the US

how about the midwest...then NO ONE will have to go cross country ( well some would have to go cross world....)

I can do midwest/southern/eastern, depending on how far it is away from me. About.....1200 miles is my limit (I like to drive, but I don't like it that much)

I think an advantage to having one in FL is that we just have so many members down there that wouldn't have to travel more than a couple of hours......Having said that, take a look at the member map.....that east coast sure is purdy with all those gray pins....

I think it's a good idea. I am open to coming to sunny Florida. It could be a weekend gathering starting on a Friday and ending on Sunday. Maybe even see if there are any bird shows to attend.

Well I think the best way to look at is to figure out a major hub where people can drive in, and fly to for relatively cheap....

Also if need be maybe have 2 events 1 in first part of the year and 2nd event in later part of the year...

But here is my thoughts on locations...

1. Atlanta
Major airport thus would allow people to fly in for cheaper than smaller cities and pretty well centered for people driving in from all over southeast area.


2nd Event... I am alittle biased but Southern California.
