wow id like to know how many birds the people that spend more than 200 a month have and what they buy!!!!! thats alot of money

I feel like i spend too much on $50...LOL but i know it's for THEM not me. If i could spend more I would and I sometimes do.

I spend 80-100 dollars every time I visit the bird store. I usually make the trip twice a month. I am a sucker for TOYS!!! I was there today

I assume that doesn't include food. I usually end up picking something up for them everytime I go to the pet store, craft store, walmart....I think about $30 but it's probably a lot more than that, lol. I really should just stay home!

I feel that the question would be more appropriate if we know how much a menber spends , keeping in mind the number of birds owned. For example I spend $ 30-50 and I have only 2 pet birds. Some one may be spending $60-100 on 4 birds - in other words we are spending the same amount per bird. What say ?

I only have the tiels and one little conure.
One month I might spend 50 buying toys or perches or whatever and then not buy much for several months but make my own toys and such.So it really depends.The food is not that expensive and last for more then a month, they eat seed and pellets but Im slowly weaning them off the seed.And the fresh foods are just stuff I would normally have anyway.If I average it I would say 20-30 a month averaged.I bought a bunch of pvc and connections this month as well as vet wrap ,a cool toy from Petsmart and some nutriberries and cuttlebone.Next month I buy food for all but no toys so I will spend about 30.I try and stagger things so I dont have to buy alot in one month.

i chose $200 a month because ive been buying stuff i dont need since i got boogie lol

i dunno how much all the necessary stuff alone is
probably less than $100

but for the next few months ill still be spending a lot with new cages and another playstand or two

I probably spend $100-200 for my birds every month. I can't help it, I love to shop and there is always something calling to me every time I go to the pet store or hop online. It probably doesn't help that most of the online bird stores send me email newsletters letting me know when they are having sales.
Of course, having seven parrots to spoil doesn't help either.

I've budgeted for about $60 a month including the money I'll be putting aside for vet bills. It'll be interesting to see if I meet that budget when I actually get my new baby or if I'll give in to the temtation of all the nice toys around.
