I was invited to a friends house in Florida and kindly declined because I didn't want to leave Pumpkin. If I go away on vacation, I choose a place I can drive to and bring him with me. It's ok, I wasn't a big traveller, anyway.

A day trip is ok. More than that, I haven't met anyone that I can trust to take care of everyone.
If they don't go with, we don't go.

Our bird sitter recently moved and we have not yet found anyone else or traveled since. Even before we still missed them when we were away.

Yes... to work.

I took a day off to be with my sun conure because I missed him.

I have my 2 grown children to care for all the animals.... although last year they had hectic schedules with college and work so had my nephew come and stay at the house. He is available anytime and great with all the animals. I have however cut down to only 2 trips a year.

I usually go to Germany once a year for two weeks. This year though I can't bring myself to make the reservations. My GCCs have their routine in the morning (soon as they hear me get up they go absolutely crazy. I then take them "potty", then I make them breakfast and then we sit around for a while) , I would just hate to leave them. They wouldn't know what was going on. Maybe next year.......

I haven't traveled in years because of my birds. There isn't anyone I trust to watch them.

i have a friend who comes and sits with my babies when we do leave for short trips, but i must admit, she doesn't do it like it should be done, so we don't leave very often at all anymore.
