if my fids even hear the water running they freak out and start hollering. If i dont bring them in the shower with me, they both will bathe in their water bowl....not sure if i got birds or fish sometimes....

My Rosella takes baths every two or three days,i give her a large bowl of water in her cage and she loves it,the Ringneck on the other hand rarely takes a bath of her own accord so i usually put her on the shower curtain pole and give her a good spray once or twice a week.

The boy tiels love the new mister I got a few months ago or prefer to be sprayed with a bottle. Ladybird prefers to take a bath in a pie plate. Shrek loved the shower but is fine with the mister also. Fiona would take a bath everyday but prefers the pasta dish or cereal bowl in her cage (otherwise, she dives head first into the water bowl!)

It is hard for us to get our macaw to take a bath or shower, he really hates and can get pretty hard biting, he even hates it when you spray him with warm water then he sits there all solking.

We have not given topaz a bath yet as letting her/him settle in first.

we have just bought a shower perch a couple of days ago so waiting for that to come, see if that is better, and we will try topaz then.

Any other ideas on getting them to like shower/or spray bottle.

Pickle takes a bath at least every other day, sometimes every day.

On a few occasions, I've seen him take two baths in a day :)

My lorikeet would have a bath everyday or at least every other day. Like a typical lorikeet, he loved water!

If he got excited he would jump into his bath. For example, once my mum dropped something on the floor and it made a loud noise (he LOVED loud noises) so he squealed and jumped into his bath.

He would also toss his favourite food and toys in and take a bath with him. Once I found his bath with all the water splashed out and a poor sopping wet finger puppet lorikeet toy. Took all day to dry it.

A few weeks before he died, I put my hand in with him as he was taking a bath and he thought it was the best thing in the world. He was soo excited. Then he ran up my arm, onto my head and shook, spraying water all over me. T_T

I put my baby into the shower 2-3 times per week. She'll allow me to put her in there, but she huddles against the side of the tub as far away from the water flow as possible. I have to splash water on her to get her wet.
