Post How much do you pay to board your bird(s)?

How much do you pay to board your bird(s)?

Please not that we understand most vetenarians / bird stores will require you
to have various test results before they will take in your birds while your out of town or unable to care for them

We also understand that there are variables in the boarding prices such as size of bird, facility providing cage vs your own cage, special diets, as well as the number of birds possibly within a cage etc...

So with that in mind please select what price range you typically pay to board your birds.

ooh....if they charged by the bird or I had to pack everyone up, I would be in trouble! $20 per day for the whole crew (home visit by vet tech)

hitting the point, where i ask friends to feed them when i'm gone.... nino's hard to move, and i don't wanna stress him out by boarding him, given that he's still getting used to his new home

the only person i trust with my birds is myself , my mum or my uncle,
i wouldnt pay to have somebody come in as is guaranteed with my luck they would get it wrong, cant afford mistakes with them and a change of routine via unfamiliar faces would shake them for 6..... they know my mum and uncle and also me, if anybody else was to go into them they would probibly bite them lol......
my pet birds would go to my mums house and my breeding birds would stay put and have either my mum or my uncle feed them, however im a hermit and only ever go out to the stafford shows once every 4 month so i dont have to worry about it

I luckily have a brother who is pre-vet and is the living embodiment of an "animal whisperer." He gets my house when we go out of town to do whatever he wants with it (as long as it's cleaned and I can in no way get into legal trouble for it) and he takes wonderful care of my animals.

I usually have to buy him a case or two of beer, but that's pretty cheap considering my animals and how spoiled they are. He even handfeeds my ekkie her mash!!
