Is your bird right or left handed?

When your bird holds food and toys, is it with the right or the left foot?

This has been posted many times and there was a very interesting article about bird handedness. I wish I could remember where it was. Anyway, it turns out like humans are mostly right handed, birds are mostly left handed. Interesting hey?

I never thought about this! I'll have to observe which foot my fids use. I'm so curious now!

My rainbow lorikeet was right footed. He always was an odd ball.

Boo, my painted conure, is ambidextrous (for now at least). I'm not sure if it's because he's yet to fully find his feet, but he'll switch back and forth between them, relatively equally (very slightly more favorable with his right foot).

That is interesting! I had to go over and check out which foot Pepper steps up with first. He kinda lost his patience after the fourth time, but each time it was his right foot, to my surprise. Now I know why he is such a good talker for a conure!
