What a sad situation! They do not look as though they were neglected, I wonder what happened. Perhaps it is a good thing that I do not live in Oregon!
I just might have to add to my own flock.

OK, I just watched the video that was available on the link you provided. It said that none of the birds were neglected. They were all well-cared for, but the owner just couldn't care for them any longer. How sad for that person. Please let this be a reminder to all of us to make sure we have arranged suitable homes for our companions should we reach a point that we are no longer able to care for them properly.

Well, for the record, here's what I know. You have to make an appointment to even look at the birds and they are apparently getting lots of interest within the avian community. I know they weren't neglected. The problem stems from the rescue not being able to keep them for a long time. Anyway, I'm just trying to hook up birds and people who love them.

I too, had my own bird rescue. I work for an alarm company that places medical alarms for the elderly (the "help, I've fallen, and can't get up...). I happened on a customer who had dementia and couldn't care for her birds. The daughter didn't know what to do with them and was going to destroy them. Needless to say I took them all, and told my wife I was bringing home company. We already had 3 cockatiels then, from other customers in the same situations, but I was bringing home 4 conures (2 sun and 2 nandays), 2 Indian ringnecks, and 3 more cockatiels. 12 birds in our house and we had never had any birds 6 months before. Thank goodness we have a very good friend who's parents have a bird store and raise birds. We gave 2 tiels to a friend and they are doing great. I have found a lot of good help and information from her parents and I'm glad I found this web board too. Thanks for all the help from the reading here. We just had our first clutch of eggs from "George", now Georgette
