Gabriel Rescue Update

Unfortunatly I couldn't go in today, due to my knee is acting up.....again....

But I called in and talked to Karen, she's in charge of the Aviaries. I asked her how the rescued birds were doing, and she said they doing ok. They are keeping them at the Bird Brain, because of room and quarentine. They are preforming Labs on all of them, and she said she is going today to pick up some of the Lovebirds. So all in all they are hanging in there.

The Lories are holding thier own. They are out in the Aviaries.

I also mentioned that I had posted the last EMail on the latest rescue on several bird boards, and that there may be some donations coming in. She was so happy and thankfull, and wanted me to tell you all thank you so much, it is needed.

Anyway.....if they need me tomorrow or Thursday I told her to call me, and hopefully Bee & the BF & I will be going there on Saturday.

speaking of quarantine, hope pita doesnt catch any thing brought home from there. what precautions can you take in that respect? i'm sure you are but what are they?

The chances are slim I think of him getting anything, because most of the birds I come into contact with are outside. BUT just to be carefull.....when I get home, before I let him out of his cage, I take a shower and change clothes.
