Talking Bird buddy for Severe Macaw

in 2 months I will finally get a new Severe Macaw after my other one died in March of this year. since I started a new jon a month ago I will spent more time away from home due to commute. I was thinking about getting a second bird for my Severe. Any suggestions which species besides Severe would fit??

most birds will do, use separate cages, but make sure they can see and hear each other. some one will chime in with which birds are too taratorial, im not sure of all of them, but i've heard parrotlets like to be a only bird, and on the other had, some folks here have them along with other birds. it might just depend on individual personalities, or is that parrotalities?
