I have decided to name my parrotlet "Gherkin", assuming of course, I pick out a green or mostly green one. I found a breeder here who sounds very knowledgable. She told me last week she has babies, and I can come let one pick me out in mid-July.

PS. Thanks to whoever named their Quaker "Pickles". That inspired me!

my quaker's human dad wanted to name him "Booger"
We decided on "Cayo" because cayo is the spanish word for the key islands in FL, and he reminded me of a key-lime, native to the Keys.
I couldn't have imagined calling him booger for the rest of his life!!

That's pretty cute, but I couldn't imagine dealing with that everyday though...must be a guy thing.
I was hoping to teach him to sing "blew out my flip flop, stepped on a pop top" and say "it's my own damn fault," or " where's my salt shaker?" like in the margaritaville song, which jimmy buffet wrote in key west
