Strictly wondering..

I was sitting here, watching some barbeque television show, when I wondered, "Is barbeque dangerous to birds?"

Does anyone know? I wouldn't think it would be toxic, but not good for them... just wondering.

Depends on the type of bbqing.... Propane/gas, probably, the coals or wood chips, probably depends on type so as far as that goes, not too sure...

You forgot about them turkeys in the freezer.... That's why turkeys and chickens should never be in the kitchen in the first place while cooking! I'm sure though that the parrots are far too scared to be in the kitchen to know what happened, less they haven't seem 'em yet!

If it is gas powered then the fumes would be dangerous, burning would only be dangerous if what you are using gives off large ammounts of carbon dioxide

I've seen some bbqs that are actually teflon coated. Those would most definately be dangerous.

Even if barbecues are deemed safe I would still make sure the bird is upwind from the smoke, ANY fumes can be harmfull.
