Good Bird Magazine

http://hometown.aol.com/goodbirdconsult/index.html

Has anyone ever heard of Good Bird, INC ? They are a behavior consulting service and are putting out a new magazine called Good Bird that looks very interesting. The magazine features articles on behavior and training.

I have received two issues of Good Bird Magazine.

"Empower The Human/Animal Bond With Positive Reinforcement"

Summer Volume 1-2 includes:
"Alternatives To Breaking Parrots" (Thank God!)
(If you have to "break" a Parrot, you don't deserve to have one-my thoughts-if a Parrot ain't "broke" why "fix" him????)

"Training Medical Behaviors"

"Bridges: Communicating Clearly With Your Parrot"
My thoughts:(What we have here is a failure to communicate--so important, it is vital to know your birds communication, body language, ect. and is something I will continually work with) How can we raise a healthy happy fid without true and correct comunication? The longer I have my sweet Abbie, the more intellegence and purposefullness (is that a word??) I see in her. That leads me to suspect a much higher intellegence and reasoning capabilities in many other species. (Sorry, I cannot say all other species-grubs just don't seem too intellegent to me! :o)

Basically it is positive reinforcement with a very interesting and well written article selection. I will definately re-subscribe when the time comes.

I subscribed and read the first issue. I think it's great. Michele (Smallonion) has it now.
