Feo IS Home!!!

Disclaimer: I am on no sleep as I write this, please forgive me for any total lack of sense.

He's home!!! My sweet Jenny picked me up at the airport at 2:45 and we took the 4 hour drive home. Half way we arrived at Mountain Valley Aviary, where we picked up our little baby. Wendy told us he still begs for formula some nights, so we bought a syringe and some of the formula she's been feeding him from her. The car ride started out a little crazy. We didn't have a crate for him, but Jenny had a stroke of genius when she took the largest box we have and put a dowell through it. Once he calmed down he spent the trip sitting on the makeshift perch, his droppings were contained and all was well.

Once we got him home he seemed to adjust very quickly, he sat on the playpen and played with the toy Aunt Nancy had sent him:




Hurley wasn't forgotten either, as he enjoyed a fresh piece of Millet to celebrate his brother's homecoming:



Hurley didn't quite know what to think of Feo. He made it known he wanted to get closer to him, but we thought it best to keep them a safe distance from each other for now. They can get to know each other from thier separate cages in the bird room tomorrow while Mom is a work and Dad tries to catch up on some much needed sleep!

Thank you once again to everyone who added to this experience for us. It has been such a joy to share our adventure with you. And don't think you've seen the last of Feo or Hurley photos and stories, oh no, you're not getting rid of us
