Lunchtime insights

If I had my way, I'd be playing with Feo non stop now that he's home. But I know that could lead to behavioral problems later on when I'm not able to give him the same amount of attention. So I've been letting him stay in his cage during the day.

When Jenny came home for lunch, we decided to eat in the bird room so we could watch the little guys in their cages. Jenny remarked how much having the birds was like having children. I said it would be great if we had the option of locking children up in cages while we did what we needed, or wanted to do, when I realized that we do, we just call it television.

I'd have to agree...out of all the pets I've had over the years, the birds are the closest to kids, much more so than the dogs are...

...btw, nothing wrong with using the TV as a babysitter...as long as the kids are doing enough other stuff...

...if ALL they do is watch TV...then it's time to unplug it...

LOL!! Yes, the cage the kids beg to be let into!!!! We are thinking of getting rid of ours! but then, it is nice to be able to shower and know that they will still be there glued to the tv after I'm done!

down with the tv

I just recently bought my own house, after living with my cousin for 5 years. He is a TV junkie! When i moved, I went from a Big Screen with everything ON Demand, to 10 channels (3 of them spanish). I complain about not having tv sometimes, but truth is, i enjoy it. All the shows I watch are on in the evening, and I get ALOT more done.

Of course, the last few days I sat at the computer all day, but at least I'm keeping my mind active. :)
