I'd have to agree...out of all the pets I've had over the years, the birds are the closest to kids, much more so than the dogs are...
...btw, nothing wrong with using the TV as a babysitter...as long as the kids are doing enough other stuff... ...if ALL they do is watch TV...then it's time to unplug it...

down with the tv
I just recently bought my own house, after living with my cousin for 5 years. He is a TV junkie! When i moved, I went from a Big Screen with everything ON Demand, to 10 channels (3 of them spanish). I complain about not having tv sometimes, but truth is, i enjoy it. All the shows I watch are on in the evening, and I get ALOT more done.
Of course, the last few days I sat at the computer all day, but at least I'm keeping my mind active. :)
