Sweating in soggy Fla.

I'm sitting here using my Mom's dial up service, from Cape Coral, Fla. Man do I miss my dry desert heat and cable modem. Missing my wife and babies too. I walked out the back door and can hear a parrot squawking from a backyard down the street. I believe they said it is a few doors down. Made me feel a little more at ease. I may have to venture out and find it this week. I haven't had a good bite all week. There is supposed to be a pet store nearby that has a B&G and a Too. Lots of water here, I hope everyone in Dennis' path are doing well, saw some scary pictures on the news. Take care all, Jeff

It's always neat to go to a new pet shop in a different town. I would image parrots are pretty common in FL.

Ah, there's no place like home. Since I don't like to sweat and find hurricanes and alligators "distasteful" I'll just sit tight here in Maryland. Each region has it good and bad points.

Did you parents sustain any storm damage?

The problem with "breezy, shady" is that they're much like a sauna. That's just Florida in the summer. I vote for a highly air conditioned environment, preferably one in close proximity to birds -- but that's just me.

I'm so used to the heat and my blood is so thin now I freeze up North if it's not 90 outside. I mow the yard and do yard work in this sauna type weather.

I'm really tired of all the Hurricanes, I would move back north in a heartbeat, but hubby won't budge.

Hope you all are fine, Nancy I haven't heard from you lately are all ok up there?

All here is fine, lot's of rain though. I'm amazed at how much damage is left from last year's storms. I swooped in behind Dennis and if all goes well will be winging it out of here before Emily makes her decision on which way to go. As I said before, can't wait to get back to my broadband service. This dial-up makes looking at all of the pictures a very slow process. I did set Mom up with a Logitech camera so later this morning when Arizona wakes up I will be able to see and talk to Lori and the fids thru MSN messenger. My dad and I have been having video conferences for about a year now. My goal is to get all of the family households hooked up with cameras. It's great to see who you are talking to. I just need to find a way to do it as a conference call so we can have family reunions on line. We all kind of spread out after fledging. Arizona, NJ, Fla, Conn and PA. Well all take care and you northerners get ready for Dennis.
