It doesn't apply with Niki, as she came to me a plucker when I already had Tiki and she immeadiatly feathered out. Then 7 years later she had a relapse (which I believe is hormonal as she laid her first egg) but is now feathering out again.
I could see how this is plausable. BUT again, it depends on the individual and their exact situation. As with the example in the article, the bird was moved across the room and started feathering out again...... but couldn't it possibly have been the same situation with being in close proximity with ANY bird?
