I had the same thing happen to me when I had my first bird - a wonderful yellow budgie named Rello. I was told he was a male - and after 4 years "he" laid an egg!!!! Oh well! What a surprise it was!!!! The problem is that I kept refering to her as "him"... Oh well, she did not care as long as I fed her and took care of her I could call her anything!!!!

Isn't that always great! I had thought that BB was a male after the behavoir you discribed to us! Sounds like you have a great vet, as well!
