Channel 2 right now (PBS) is a program on MaCaws, just happened to turn it on, I think it may have been on awhile but since it is 8:33 now, it will probably go to 9pm.....


Came back to edit on comment: Cool film, wish I could have seen it all. They said lb. for lb. Hyacynths bring in more $$$ for the poachers than Cocaine, if I'm quoting that correctly......

I guess it must be the PBS stations in your area. The Memphis PBS station, WKNO, has Tribal Dancing on.

I just watched it....WOW that was a fantastic show. I absolutely love looking at the Macaws living in the wild. Being able to fly free in their natural habitat and mixing with their own kind. It saddens me to even think sometimes of mine being in a cage no matter how large my cage is. These birds will be in danger soon because of the poachers and black market sellers. These people ship these birds in such deplorable conditons that many never even survive.

Thanks Joe. I had seen the program before but it was a real treat to watch it again. It's my dream to go to a place to watch wikd macaws.

Actually, Joel I have been tossing that idea around in my poor little head for a while, thinking maybe 2007 and visit the Amazon, the Pantanal (Brazil) and Manu Biosphere in Peru. That would give everyone enough time to save up for it, and we can also get some partying in Rio in too!

BTW, what was the name of the doco? I need to look for it on Discovery channel over here, or maybe Nat. Geographic?
