Bobbin For Fish !!

This happened a few weeks ago but thought maybe some of you would like a laugh.I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face.

I had my YNA (Amos) on my shoulder, I was cleaning fish tanks, I raise Bettas and Angel fish. I normally use a hose and just do a partial water change. I had a tank of baby bettas and they were still quite small, I had to take the hood off to get my arm in there. The next thing I notice is Amos has one foot on the tank dunking her head in the water saying (((mmmmGood))). I make her get back up on my shoulderand continue cleaning the tank.Next thing I know Amos just dives right in the tank...wings are flapping.. fish are jumping.. water is splashing all over the carpet. In the mean time I didn't notice I haven't pulled the hose out of the tank so that water is going on the carpet. I get a completely soaked Amos out of the tank and she shakes herself looks at me and says (((mmmmGood))). I just completely lost it then. Took me almost an hour to clean up the wet carpet and the surrounding area of water but have to admit I was laughing the whole time. ((Darn Crazy Birds Ya Gotta Love Em))

Well yes I enjoyed posting this yesterday and had me giggling most of the day every time I looked at Amos. This bird is quite a character and I just adore her.

Yes, that does seem to be the case. My birds when strolling around the pool area often stop over at the fish pond to take a peek.

On another note, I sure hope that you keep a lid or screen on your tanks. Last year a member on another board came home to find her little Severe or maybe it was a moustache parakeet drowned in her fish tank. Her boyfriend had left the bird out and didn't supervise it.

Oh yes that is a good point to bring up because birds do seem attracted to fish. But no worries all of my tanks have complete hoods Which does bring to mind what I tell all people thinking of getting a bird...especially a large bird. They need to have their home as though they had a toddler. If a toddler can get into it so can a bird.
