Urgh! I'm an idiot

I just rushed Mojo up to the av, panicing and nearly having a heart attack!
What happened was I walked past his cage about an hour ago to see him sitting on his perch with his face covered in blood! Dark red all over his beak and chest. After pausing to check if I had fed him anything red I wrapped him up and rushed down to my vet, sobbing that Mojo had obviously cut himself on one of his new toys and now was going to die.
Not the case at all. The vet cleaned him up, and showed me the cloth that he had wiped him with. As you can probably guess it was not blood but juice off something. I came home throughly ashamed and remembered that I had given Mojo some large cherries (with the stone removed) the day before. They had dropped to the bottom of his cage and Mojo had decided to recyle them because he just HAD to have one.
Oh well, at least I know how long it take to get to the av in a hurry.

Sorry for your panic - however, better safe than sorry!

You're not an idiot, you're a loving parront! I would much rather see someone going to the AV when they didn't have to than they didn't go when they should have!

...if it makes you feel better:

...I noticed a large red spot on the bottom of Ever's foot, but of course she wouldn't let me take a good look at it...so I'm slowly starting to panic and thinking bumblefoot, long-running vitamin deficiencies, ulcers, bad perches, infections, possible amputation...LOL...

...and! It was tomato soup!

I had given her some noodles with tomato soup on them...and she had been holding a noodle...
