If memory serves, I think that there was litigation due to unfounded claims and lack of testing for their products. Do a net search, please.

Not sure if this is the correct company, but here's what the Better Business Bureau search came up with. You can check out business track records at http://search.bbb.org/search.html
For some reason the URL of the company's report won't work. Just go to the above address and put the name and location into the search box, and it'll take you to the report. What I came up with, if it is indeed the right company, is an unsatisfactory report. Last edited by Kachina; 07-31-2005 at 07:12 PM. |

I to have heard there has been litigation with that company over the medicine it sells not living up to what the company claimed it did. Lynda

Avian Medicine Chest is run by Pet Medicine Chest, so it IS the same company, using various names for the various types of critters that their produts are made for.
As far as anything, herbal remedies are made from plants that do not grow a hard outer skin (i.e. bark), dies back at the end of the growing season (i.e. leaves come off or dry up), and may often times be aromatic (it smells). That combination of things put together is called an herb. So therefore an herbal remedy (or herbal medicine) is made to prevent and heal diseases and illness, and to promote and stimulate ones health and well being. One must remember however that herbal remedies do not work for everyone, or everything. They may very well help some people or animals, but not others, and they cannot always cure everything that they are said to cure....

I will call the lady in our bird club who heads our rescue/adoption program and see if this is the place that she orders all of her stuff from or if it is another place. I know that she uses alot of herbal remedies and stuff and so does our vet and other members in our bird club but I don't know if they order from this place or another place. I will find out and get back to you on it.

Avian Medicine Chest
I have been trying for months to contact Avian Medicine Chest or as it was to be know under the new name of Pets Naturally Healthy and wondered what was going on.
I have used their products for around 8yrs. and have never had a problem with them. I use System-a-juv, Probac Chick & Adult, Trace Minerals, Vitamins, Parastem, Wormout, Metaltox, Hemotox, Terra-Cleanse and the Orange Cleaner. Terra-Cleanse works even on people. I can attest to that as I got scratched by a ferro cat and it healed immediately. I'll really be sorry if they don't reopen. Like anything else, (reg. prescription medicine) not everything works on everyone. Not FDA approved because it's herbal and they can't get their hands on it or they would to make a profit. Not everyone is going to be satisfied. I was always treated very well and they answered all my questions. Anyone else have dealings with them or know if they are closing for good? My last e-mail from them was in June when they gave me the new e-mail and advised they would be having a grand opening soon. Linda |
